The
"Processes / File manager" section
As you can judge from the name, the "Processes / File manager"
section (figure 1) is used to work with both applications
and processes running on the remote computer and files located on
it.
It is possible to view all windows opened in the system in this
section (with a click on the "Get running applications / windows"
button), including hidden ones, and also to close them.
Additionally, you can perform various operations with windows
existing in the system:
- hide (make a visible window invisible);
- show (show an invisible window);
- minimize (minimize the window);
- restore (restore the initial window size).

It is also possible to automatically terminate applications and
processes running on the remote computer.
When you click the "Terminate applications and processes ..."
button (figure 2), you will see a window with two tabs one of which
contains all applications running at the moment and the other one
contains all processes running in the system.
If you select the checkbox of the necessary application / process
and click the "Apply" button, all selected applications and
processes will keep being terminated (killed) on the server until
you clear the checkboxes of these applications and processes and
click the "Apply" button again.

The "File manager" section contains two buttons: "Run a program"
and "Manage files ...".
After you enter the path to the necessary file and click the "Run a
program" button, either this program or the application opening the
file associated with it is started on the server.
File manager
A click on the "Manage files..." button opens the window where you
can work with files located on the remote computer (figure 3). The
window contains a menu, buttons for quick access to file management
operations and also two panes displaying files located on the local
computer and on the remote computer respectively.
The main operations with files are the following:
- viewing the contents of a file;
- editing a file creating, copying (files must not be larger than 2
GB), moving and deleting a file or directory;
- searching for files;
- building a folder tree;
- checking the checksum of a file (CRC);
- viewing and editing the properties of a file / directory.

Additionally, the file manager has its own options that
you can open by selecting the "Configuration" -> "Options" menu
item.
You can see the "Options" dialog box in figure 4.

On the whole, all main functions that you may need are implemented
in the file manager. |
